How to become an ARTP/BTS Assessment Centre
On this page you will find the details and paperwork required to apply for
accreditation as a Spirometry Assessment Training Centre
The
establishment of training centres is encouraged and particularly those that meet
the ARTP/BTS Training Centre criteria (see full documentation) where staff have
experience in assessment techniques related to lung function measurements and
where lung function measurements are known to be performed to the published ARTP/BTS
guidelines on Respiratory Function Testing.
Those centres meeting these criteria will be eligible for the following...

Supply
of training materials at cost

Reduction
in cost of candidate packs

To
assess and monitor candidates portfolio completion
-
Assist
in the national examination process
Training centres will be able to set their own fees
which are expected to be between £60 and £200 (per person)
excluding catering.
(NB The fee for National Assessment is extra to any course fees.)
